Job description
As a full‑time Registered Nurse in Northwell Health’s ambulatory cardio service on Staten Island, you will conduct comprehensive age‑appropriate assessments of patients, encompassing physiological examination, pain evaluation, mobility, sensory and skin status, and chart review, while communicating policies and answering questions politely. You will also explore psychosocial factors, gathering patient perceptions, coping strategies, knowledge, cultural needs and connecting them to support resources. After identifying actual or potential issues, you will establish measurable outcomes, set individualized goals and assemble a coordinated plan of care that addresses cost‑effective use of supplies and collaborative decision‑making with physicians and allied staff. You will execute that plan, ensuring safety protocols, administering medications and equipment appropriately, documenting care, responding quickly to emergencies, and providing emotional support. You will guide patients toward discharge and educate them and families on follow‑up referrals and care instructions.
